At the beginning of July, David and I made the long trek from Victoria to Amarillo for one of my good friend's weddings. Amanda and I met at the beginning of freshman year, were in Bible study together, led Bible study together, had some of the same psychology classes, and hung out when we could. I was really excited to be in her wedding and to be a part of her big day.
On a side note: Amanda was technically one of bridesmaids in my wedding, but she couldn't be there because she was in Australia at the time serving with YWAM. We thought about projecting an image of her next to the rest of the bridesmaids or making a life-size cardboard figure, but neither of those seemed too plausible. But when David and I were getting married, she was sitting on a beach in the Solomon Islands praying for us :)

So... It's been awile
I guess I dropped the ball blogging because I just got tired of it. And I didn't feel like I had much to write about. Lately, however, David and I have been told that our lives should be on a soap opera. I feel like we lead pretty boring lives, but every once in awhile, we just have really weird things happen...
David and I have thought about writing a book about all of our adventures, but I'm not sure who the audience would be, much less who would buy them. Most of our stories are short enough to be a children's book, but I'm not sure what child would understand them, or what parent would let their kids read them... So I might just start recording them here for posterity (and laughs!).
